Re: The good things in your day :)
Well done Bluebird and the bread sounds yummy. The good thing in my day today was That after feeling a little off colour yesterday, when I woke this morning I had heaps of energy, so decided at about 6 this morning to start changing my whole house around, which meant moving all the furniture to different rooms. Having just this minute finished, I am sooo tired and sore but my house looks beautiful and I got to look after Ella again for a couple of hours. Think I might sleep well tonight.

Wow, a sucker for punishment, moving all that furniture and then looking after a lively little pixie. Sweet dreams. Judy

Re: The good things in your day :)
JUST knowing has been so terriffic.
No-longer Am I drawn into considering other folks dramas are real.
When I am REAL
the whole world appears beautiful,
with some fruit-filled nut-bars to chew-on.
I am proud of Me for taking on the impossible and surviving to see another day here in heaven!
This morning my Son expressed His shit,
and by allowing Him the grace to feel ok about it and clarifying that He were totally right to feel this way, He went off to school pleased and even said a 'Bye Dad!'
That too makes me PROUD!
Im proud to be DAD!

Re: The good things in your day :)
Well, I gave someone a piece of my Mind this afternoon and do you know what, I ain't even missed it yet.
I was at my local pharmacy, which has three single 'reception area' style fabric-covered chairs on which a few lucky folk may from time to time, perch whilst waiting for scripts etc.
As per, I was upright thanks to me elbow crutches and my faithfull Electric Feet machine was parked outside on the footpath.
An ignorant, 'middle-aged' female person was sitting on one of those chairs, in a most ungentlemanly manner, and she had her shoes up on the fabric of the seat.
Eeeew, not overly savoury, thought Paddy.
So, I glared. Obviously, not hard enough.
So when she finally finished her overly loud mobile 'phone call, I hitched up me crutch so to speak, and strolled over to where she was sitting.
And gave an impromptue lecture to a woman many years my senior, on etiquitte and public deportment. She looked most chastend and asked if, she remove her shoes, she may keep her socked feet there? I intimated that that really all depended on the state of her socks and the ability of the other two sitting next to her, to tolerate it.
Pfffft.
So, a significantly-sized chunk of mind given away and it aint been missed so far. I wonder what it was used for before this afternoon? Nothing important, I hope? I can't remember.

Re: The good things in your day :)
I am not sure what to make of this, is it a good thing or not? I have decided I need a bigger house. Today a large, hairy dog wandered in, then my two dogs, one large, the other a corgi chased it and it ended up leaving a trail of poo and jumping up on my dressing table. Anyhoo I finally sorted my two out and persudaed them to be nice. The 'strange' dog is male, kind of large with long curly hair, a VERY waggly tail, no registration and now very much at home thank you very much. I have NO idea where he comes from but he has a collar so someone must love him. I think he may have worms so my two will now have to be redone. Currently I have two large dogs, a corgi and a full size pig in my lounge. If I don't get a bigger house then I least need a bigger lounge. Hopefully someone will come along and claim him.

Good thing in my day is that Charlie (the stray dog) is still around and the other two have stopped trying to rip him to bits. I thnk eventually they may even like him as he is a very lovable dog.

We will see what happens. Hopefully he has a good family who are missing him and come to collect him. If not - well we will have to see. I am such a sucker for strays.

Re: The good things in your day :)
The good thing in my day today is watching a nail biting flippa ball game, to see my boys team win 4-3 Yay!
The next good thing is my day is calling into work to do the cleaning - which is now done and the boys have earnt thier pocket money for the week...and ummm....I can log into here and catch up. Dunno when I'll get my home laptop back!!
And I met up with someone who also suffers depression - it is so liberating to hear others that are so open abut this... I tend not to tell people as they may not like what they are hearing arrggg...
The good thing yesterday was that we have a lamb on the spit for Peters birthday (which is mid week - he always says that it is not for his birthday but we always seem to have a 'gathering' around this time of year...hmmm...)
The good thing in my day on Friday was that we went to a spectacular fireworks display at Kumeu Show grounds. The boys want to go back next year and watch. They don't want to spend $$ on fireworks, they have told me they will watch 'other people spend their money at our little beach and go to the big fireworks display instead" Yay!!
