Lucky, lucky you having your little Ella at home with you. She sounds like such a precious little bundle. The good thing in my day is that i actually got a few things done around the house and the sun was shining.

Re: The good things in your day :)
Well, I know I've not been 'here' much for a few days and I'd say sorry, but that would be partly a fib - cos although I missed you all and was thinking of ya's, on 'n off (when I couldnt help it, Bah Humbug) - I really desperately needed a break and to be quite honest, I have had an amazingly fun filled last few days, with friends and memories that shall live for ever in me, Alzheimers allowing.
I aint telling ya's what I've been up, but its been just lovely and what I needed, when it was most needed. So, anyway, I'm back in the land of TBBD
Normal Transmission shall resume shortly - please do Not adjust your set!
Paddy.

Re: The good things in your day :)
Welcome back Pat, hope you had a fab time sweet. My day was just fantastic, as you know i had my wee Ella over night and its only 2 weeks since I have seen her, but wow, what a difference in her understanding. Yesterday when I picked her up, I told her everything we were going to do. Normally she just goes with the flow, but today she reminded me of everything on that list that we hadn't done yesterday. Way cool!!!. I decided to test her and just see what she understood. I gave her choices on what she wanted to do first and she thought and thought and then gave me a list of order and it included all that i had said. Awesome, grandchildren are way easier than your own children. Now to clean up the mess!!!!

Aw Pam, Bless You for sharing your love and your wee Ella with us.
She IS a bright spark, isn't she! She'll help keep young young and active won't she, eh?
Don't stress the Mess; get a couple of cheap polytarps from The Warehouse and just cover it up - it works for me, slob that I am, pffft.
Paddy.

good things that have happened. i'm learning to play bridge! way harder than i thought it would be..but i'll get there! we have a siamese cat and her kitten.....mad as wet hen's so constantly doing something funny, and now we have a duck and drake that come to visit every morning waiting for bread. it's nice to watch them wander up the street (yes this is the middle of suburbia) quacking away to each other.....stopping to look at this or that until they get to our front lawn, where they wait patiently (maybe) honking and calling till i arrive with bread!

Well, this was on Friday and Saturday: Caught up with some of the women from my group that I established in the last place I lived.
And spent some time with our own Pat on Saturday + met up with someone else from here too. Cool.

Great to have you back in one piece. Glad you had some happy meetings and hope the other part of your visit wasn't too upsetting for you.

Re: The good things in your day :)
This is going to sound strange BUT the good thing in my day is that I put all the ingredients into my breadmaker to make some cumin flavoured bread, only to discover that the last, very important ingredient, namely yeast is not to be found in my fridge. I used the last of it and didn't notice the packet was empty. The very good news about this is that I will now HAVE to go out tomorrow to get yeast so while I am out yeast shopping I can drop off the samples to the doc that I was meant to drop off today.

That's good BB. You'll feel so much better when you have dropped those samples off. It also means that the next time you have to go out you know you can do it as you did it (going outside of your property) before successfully.

Re: The good things in your day :)
Hello all I am new to this web site, but have suffered from depression since my daughter was born so about 3.5yrs.
was off my meds for a while but are now back on them and going though THAT stage again.
Good thing today was that could get out of bed and eat something....also have a friend coming round for a coffee which is always good to distract you from yourself, as long as they understand you.
this is a great place to come and feel like your normal. thanks

Re: The good things in your day :)
Hi Garfield good to see you posting. I haven't been a member for that long and I am glad I found this site. The people here are so lovely and supportive even though they have their own problems to deal with. I hope you find this site as great as I have. It may sound trite, however, you are not alone. Many of us who suffer from depression can relate to probably a lot of the things you experience. I look forward to reading your posts. You can sometimes find me in the Chatbox so maybe I'll meet you in there! Take care.

Re: The good things in your day :)
The good thing in my day yesterday was that I WENT OUT yesterday and bought the yeast along with my monthly grocery shop, dropped speciments at the docs and then shouted myself nice, hot, greasy takeaways. So unhealthy but tasty. Today it is a good day as I still have the glow from yesterdays accomplishment. Today life is good.
