do you think TM MBers know who is who here and use it against them?

i was on the MB the other day and there are a few people here who have the same username as their tm one, and there was a thread, cant recall what it was about, but there were a bunch of people refering to certain MBers who also use this forum and refering to them as nutters, loopies, psychos, mental cases etc.

kind of makes me not what to post here anymore, although my name here isnt the same as over there. someone already think they know who i am *sighs* the world is far too small i guess.

I don't frequent the TMMB very often anymore. Yes my username is the same here as it is over there. If they want to talk about me behind my back and call me names then that's there choice. It the end of the day if they don't want to take the time to get to know the real me then they are people that I don't wish to know.

What other people think of me is actually not my problem, its what I, think about myself that really counts.

Yeah, my user name there is the same as here and thats both 'cos I lack imagination and because I particularly wanted the connection between my membership of both sites, to be made.

I started TBBD on 16 August 2008 'cos the TM General Message Boards Depression Support Threads were not alway pleasant places to be in and yeah, 'we' were open to cheap shots from whomsoever thought they saw an opportunity to prove their true intelligence levels to all and sundry.

And of course, TM Admin deleted Support Threads seemingly at its random whim. Which TBBD most definately doesn NOT do.! That was the other reason behind this TBBD place being started.

On the whole I feel that the TM Depression Support Thread in the Health Section of its new Message Board layout, is positive, but yep, someone will always shine the single wattage bulb of their brain upon those types of Threads, 'cos they seem to think (wrongly) that it makes up for them having tiny willies.

If anyone would like to point me to the offending Posts on TM, I'd been interested in reading them (no hurry, I won't be loking tonight).

One in five in Aotearoa NZ have mental illness of some description and to some extent, and I doubt that whoever made those types of comments on the TM Board, are any of the ones numbered 1-4, inclusive in any group of five you care to select.

Only you can decide if it feels safe or not for you to Post or 'be' here - if you feel harrassed by any person in particular, please PM me at my Admin (Paddy2) ID here, with details and I'll have a look. But that is the maximum protection I can offer anyone really.

i havent had anyone single me out, someone responded to a thread of mine and offered support rather than put downs.

i was meaning more like tm mbers using what they read here and using it against you over there. actually it was a comment about logical cents the other day that got me thinking about this topic. (sorry not intended to offend by singling out one person) just a name that was mentioned at the time.

It can be hard giving up those social pressures and reactions to the actions of others. But once you do then its a great place to be. I have put some of my lifes most harrowing experiences on here, as many of us have. Some of it has ended up in other forums and some has been used to portray me as a nutter! Its a title I wear well lol

And although what you are talking about ehre is rumour and gossip for a few small minded people the truth is within you and noone can take that away!

People can not really hurt us. WE hurt ourselves by allowing ourselves to doubt our own truths because others dont believe them or manipuate them.

Its not easy to begin to ignore whats said about us, but its worth it to get our stories out.

sorry it was somewhere in the parenting section the other day where a bunch of women needed to feel better about themselves and rubbish everyone under the sun, im sorry i put your name on here i guess i shouldnt have, that was unfair.

It's ok, but I would like to know what was said, and now I'm just more curious coz I never go in the parenting MB, got no reason too.
